Inside Sales Representative - Bay Area, CA

Our inside sales representative needs to be energetic, detail oriented, tech savvy, and possess impeccable communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who is capable of doing extensive research on prospective customers and thrives in a quick sales cycle environment.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails

  • Qualify leads and route opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure

  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest

  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects

  • Set meetings for sales executives to pitch the product in person

  • Have a developed understanding of Kin Slips and how it fits the customer’s needs

  • Meet with the Head of Sales in Oakland once per week to discuss strategy and status

  • Input relevant sales information into the CRM in an organized and timely manner

  • Engage in clear and thoughtful communication with all company departments

Sales Manager – California

The Sales Manager needs to be an energetic, self-motivated, and creative individual with strong leadership capabilities and a desire to drive Kin Slips’ sales and marketing programs. The Sales Manager’s responsibility will increase the sales by establishing strategic partnerships and nurturing working relationships with retailers, consumers, industry insiders and co-workers.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with key customer accounts to ensure superior sales and service for distribution, retail education, product events, staff trainings and product and marketing visibility.
  • Achieve monthly sales and distribution targets

  • Increase brand awareness by working closely with the marketing team

  • Propose and schedule in store events in collaboration with marketing team

  • Develop and manage in-store marketing programs and measure effectiveness

  • Monitor and help place unique Kin Slips point of sale and marketing materials that capture retailer and consumer attention

  • Conduct internal sales meetings

  • Coordinate with production staff on inventory, fulfillment, and shipping methods

  • Manage rotation and inventory control at retailer level

  • Maintain all customer information via Customer Relationship Management platform.

  • Drive sales growth with both new and existing customers

  • Targeted Non-Traditional channels and outlets (delivery, box service, etc.)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the California retail cannabis industry

  • 2+ years cannabis sales management experience

  • Track record of building successful relationships with cannabis retailers

  • Experience with pricing and in-store marketing programs

  • Proven successes in delivering sales goals and objectives.

  • Ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships with retail accounts and distributors

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, time management and presentation skills required

  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, multi-tasker who adapts quickly and easily to change.

  • Must be a highly organized individual with ability to work well under pressure and problem solve.

  • Ability to analyze, think critically and strategically.

  • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SalesForce.

  • Must have a valid state driver's license and doctor recommendation for medical cannabis.

Brand Ambassador – Oakland, California

Our brand ambassador needs to be a friendly, helpful and energetic individual who is able to interact with patients and retailers, teach them about Kin Slips, and answer any questions they have about the product or the company. The brand ambassador’s role is to promote trust in the science of cannabis and dispel misinformation when confronted with it.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in product demos and trade shows as a spokesperson for Kin Slips
  • Manage the schedule of product demos and trade shows
  • Actively seek new opportunities for Kin Slips events
  • Thoroughly understand our products to inform patients and retail staff
  • Assist in organizing marketing events
  • Interface directly with patients, retail staff, and key industry members
  • Provide feedback to the Sales, Marketing and Production departments regarding patient requests
  • Engage in clear and thoughtful communication with all company departments
  • Initially, the brand ambassador will be tasked with assisting the sales team with product deliveries as we build out our distribution infrastructure

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a brand ambassador or similar role

  • Possess general knowledge of different cannabis consumption methods

  • Ability to speak eloquently and passionately about basic scientific concepts

  • Valid CA Driver's License and Medical Cannabis Recommendation

  • Must be flexible within the 40 hour work week – some nights, weekends and overnight trips will be required

  • Must reside in the coverage area of the position

  • Excellent communication skills

  • An outgoing, friendly personality and a desire to meet new people.

  • Retail experience is a plus


Production Staff – Oakland, CA

Our production worker needs to be an energetic, alert, and motivated individual. A production worker assembles and inspect products, cleans and organizes work spaces, operates and maintains light machinery, and adheres to all operation safety guidelines and standards.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
  • Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed.
  • Cleans equipment.
  • Assembles product parts by hand.
  • Observes and removes faulty or damaged items from inventory.
  • Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
  • Affixes labels, and other exterior details to products.
  • Sorts products based on quality standards.
  • Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
  • Keeps operation floor clean.
  • Unloads, organizes, tracks, and stocks shipments.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrates ability to interpret instruction guides and follow a recipe.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Is tidy and organized.
  • Exhibits ability to work efficiently on repetitive tasks without losing focus.
  • Currently holds CA State Food Handlers Card or is able to take and pass exam to get one.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate components.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Basic computer literacy.
